Volunteer

Ways neighbors can help

This project depends on small, practical help from people in and around Richmond Annex. You do not need to do everything to be useful.

Transportation and appointments

  • Rides to vet appointments
  • Transporting supplies
  • Checking traps during scheduled trapping windows

Care and monitoring

  • Aftercare or recovery monitoring
  • Feeding or water support
  • Temporary holding or fostering, if appropriate

Field and neighborhood support

  • Trapping help with guidance
  • Outreach to neighbors
  • Sharing calm updates about cat activity in the area

Safety and training

Some tasks need training or direct coordination. Volunteers will be contacted before being added to anything, and addresses or trap locations should not be posted publicly.

Coordination happens privately after review so people, cats, and locations are handled more safely.
